The Environment

Hina sits on the Environment Committee and is a proud champion on environmental issues and a strong proponent of new, innovative solutions. Since being elected to the assembly, she has forged strong relationships with businesses and organisations to help them reach net zero by 2030.

She has consistently challenged the Mayor over the Silvertown Tunnel project and its environmental impacts. While scrutinising mayoral policy around the tunnel, she has developed strong connections with the environmentalists and experts in air pollution. 

Hina has also worked closely with campaign groups such as Clean Air London and MumsForLungs to call on the mayor for stronger public awareness campaigns on the impacts of wood burning, one of the largest contributors to air pollution.
